No one ever realised it. My heart collapsed every time I saw him. The silly boy in his silly yellow and black shoes. The silly boy with a smile on and a broken heart. The only boy who could be completely alone but still be in a room with a thousand people. I saw right through his clever act, and straight on to the damage.
He walks right past me everyday, his cornfield blonde hair gently falling to his freckled face. Behind eyes so golden and full, lay a boy screaming in agony inside, a tormented soul. I saw right through this, but longed to know more.
He was at the park alone one day. I noticed him, and watched for a few minutes, then saw an unfamiliar face. A girl sat down right by him, her red hair flowed radiantly down her fragile shoulders. She greeted him with a smile and a pat on the hand, then those golden eyes of his lit up like nothing I had ever seen. They lit up with love, whether he knew it or not..Maybe there are keys to the locks on our hearts.
